Russia’s financial monitoring agency, Rosfinmonitoring, has dismantled the notion of cryptocurrency anonymity, asserting that digital asset transactions are now fully traceable by authorities. The agency confirmed law enforcement’s unrestricted access to exchange user data without judicial oversight, despite cryptocurrencies lacking formal legal status in the country.

This crackdown follows recent enforcement actions including a ban on USDT and raids against illegal mining operations. "Crypto anonymity is a myth," stated a government official during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, signaling Moscow’s hardening stance toward unregulated digital asset flows.
